If you're having Video Playback issues such as frequent re-buffering, video-sound syncronization or video initialization failure (doesn't start), follow the instructions below to attempt to fix the issue.
Occasionally, Windows Media Player fails to determine the correct streaming bandwidth for your videos. If you're having trouble with video re-buffering, Jumpy video, video/sound syncronization issues, or video failure; you may need to manually adjust your buffering & connection speed.
- Open the Windows Media Player application outside of your Internet Browser. We will be adjusting the buffering settings within the Windows Media Player performance options.
- Right Click on "Windows Media Player." Select the menu item Tools > Options... You may also display the menu in the classic format. If this is the case, select Tools > Options...
- Within the Options window, select the Performance tab.
- Adjust the Connection Speed (Bandwidth) settings to 768Kbps or higher (1Mbps or 10Mbps). Start with 768Kbps and try the video. If that doesn't work, try the 1Mbps then 10Mbps.
- Finally, adjust the buffering to 60 seconds and try the Videos.
If these do not work, try resetting it to the Recommended settings and try the video once more.
Before contacting Technical Support, you should attempt uninstalling & reinstalling Windows Media Player. To perform a reinstallation, go to Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs. Allow the list to populate. Select Windows Media Player and click "Remove."
ATTENTION: This will Downgrade your Windows Media Player to the Previous version (Version 10). Attempt using this version to view the videos, then Re-install Windows Media Player V11.
